What To Expect As A Patient
Many people will seek treatment when pain is already present. Our first priority is to reduce pain and other symptoms you are experiencing while finding a preventative treatment plan.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain, they are healthy. Pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced. When you begin chiropractic care, pain is also the first symptom to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains so it is important to know the cause and take preventative steps to a full recovery.
Your First Visit
When you first enter our office, our receptionist will welcome you and we will request that you complete our patient forms. You can fill out your patient registration forms prior to your first visit by clicking this link. This paperwork simply provides us with your health history and information on your condition to help us better find the source of your symptoms.
Next, you will have a consultation with one of our physicians to discuss your health, symptoms, concerns, and goals. Your initial visit is designed for our physicians to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine your chiropractic treatment plan.
After your consultation, one of our physicians will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Standard neurological, postural, orthopedic, and physical tests will be performed to better shape your treatment plan for a solid road to recovery and pain free living.
Depending on your condition or injury, we may request X-rays. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and allow us to diagnose any serious spinal conditions. As always, all testing is performed after our patients has given us permission.
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, one of our physicians will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including how our specific treatment plan will help your overall health and the cost of your treatment plan. After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, one of our physicians will discuss treatment options and discuss the next steps to treatment.
At the end of your consultation, and after reviewing treatment options, you may request to begin treatment. Your treatment plan may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, cryotherapy, strength training and/or soft tissue treatments. Our treatment plans are created to not only treat, prevent and build an overall foundation for healthy well being. Our patient's comfort is one of our highest priorities and all patient treatment plans are designed with patient input.
